Originally from West Yorkshire, Katy is a Dance Artist curious about the connection between improvisational dance practice and learning environments. She is passionate about sharing her work with all ages and abilities. This website shares different aspects of her freelance work and her interests in life long learning and the joy dance can bring to people's lives.

Katy is curious about translating her practice to all ages & abilities in a playful, imagery, self discovery led way. She has taught for a wide range of organisations and projects:​

Children (5yrs+) -

L&P at NSCD, Primary Schools (Rural Steps Project, Northern Ballet) & in Italy (Global English Theatre)


Young People (9-19yrs) -

Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) & Youth Provision , Rural Steps Thirsk, Skipton, Harrogate and Cover for York Dance Space.

In 2019 Katy also joined the Flying Seagull Project at UK Festivals and in Greece (Lesvos & Samos Refugee Camps). You can donate to Flying Seagulls here.
