About Improplay

Improplay brings together Katy's dual interests in early years learning and movement research.

We provide opportunities for collaboration. To share dance improvisation and play with children, teachers and artists. Taking place in different formats: research, projects, performances, workshops and CPD sessions. Whether it is in a dance studio, village hall, park or playground, school hall, classroom, or even a corridor! We share energising and calm, reflective movement experiences. 

Improplay aims to develop awareness of contemporary dance, in particular the craft of movement improvisation and imagination, the use of play and the effects this practice can have on learning and wellbeing within different environments.
